Things to Remember When Visiting Nunawading Homemaker HQ

Nunawading Homemaker HQ currently remains open and trading, with significantly enhanced measures in place to stop the spread of the virus within our centre.

Here are some things to think about when planning your visit:

1.         Try to avoid visiting the centre at peak times

2.         Check individual  store trading hours and conditions of entry in advance

3.         Most importantly, if you are feeling unwell please stay at home

Before you visit Nunawading Homemaker HQ please see review our conditions of Entry:

COVERING YOUR FACE WHILE VISITING

From 23 July, in line with new mandates from the Victorian Government, you must wear a face covering at all times when visiting our Centre, unless:

  • You are under 12
  • You have a medical condition that prohibits the wearing of a face covering
  • For professional reasons.

To help keep our entire community safe, please be sure to bring an appropriate face covering with you the next time you visit us.

We have implemented a number of measures that assist us and our community in adhering to this directive, including:

  • All centre staff and contractors will be required to wear masks while at work, unless they have a valid reason not to.
  • Signage that clearly reminds our community they must adhere to the government mandate and not enter the Centre without a face covering unless they are exempt.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

Before arriving please review the list of open retailers here. Restrictions have impacted all our retailers in different ways, so we recommend contacting individual stores for information about their specific trading hours and conditions of entry.

PLEASE WASH AND SANITISE YOUR HANDS

We are committed to maintaining high hygiene measures. We ask that you frequently sanitise your hands.

We also ask that you continue to adhere to the 20 second advice when washing your hands before eating, after coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose, or after using bathroom amenities

PLEASE KEEP YOUR DISTANCE

Practice social distancing while visiting us in-Centre. We ask that you please take care to maintain an appropriate distance from those that are not in your immediate party.

A minimum of 1.5m distance between persons should always be maintained.

All retailers will have on display at their entry or in their shop window, the maximum quantity of people allowed in store at any given time. We ask for your own safety, as well as the safety of other shoppers and our staff that you acknowledge and respect this number. This may mean that you may need to queue at an appropriate social distance before entering your favourite store.

PLEASE USE PROPER COUGHING ETIQUETTE

If you are not feeling well, it is recommended for your own health, as well as the health of our community – that you stay home.

In the event that you are well and still find yourself needing to cough or sneeze when you visit, please use the inside of your elbow, handkerchief or tissue.

If using a tissue, please ensure it is disposed of appropriately and as soon as possible.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BE KIND

We are all experiencing and coping with significant changes following the outbreak of COVID 19. For some of our stores, this may have resulted in restricted access to stock, limited trading hours or reduced services.

We are all trying our best to return to business as usual in these trying times. Please be mindful while in centre to be courteous and kind to centre staff and other guests.
